We are committed to conservation of our land and the wildlife that call it home, and are working to restore our wildflower meadow (location of the campsite) to original prairie state.Ĭome see us we'd like to share it all with you!Ĭome to Fieldsong Farm, absorb the peace and serenity, and leave refreshed! Stake your tent on the edge of our tallgrass wildflower meadow, and immerse yourself in diversity where the city ends and the country begins. We farm organic vegetables, and have planted some fruit trees. We have a flock of chickens, a bunch of loud, nosey Nubian dairy goats, Since 2013, we have brought in water and electricity to the land, built fences, a house and several barns. Plus the Snider's old house and barn next door are being renovated by the new owners! The rest of the land has been sold to two families, and all three purchasers (that includes us!) are establishing small family farms. ![]() The Sniders played an important part in the development of our town, Lucas, and surrounding schools. Bought our 13 acres from a larger parcel of land that had been owned and farmed by the Snider family for 150 years.
